Born in Oakland, California, Chase Jackson began playing music at an early age at local jam sessions and venues throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Jackson studied jazz composition and performance at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, political science at Oberlin College and completed his masters in music at the University Of Southern California.
As a multi-instrumentalist, Chase has performed across the United States and internationally throughout Europe and Asia.
As a producer, Chase has produced, co-written and recorded instruments with a wide cast of major artists such as Juice WRLD, The Soweto Gospel Choir, Moon Boots, Chanté Moore, Dimash Kudaibergen, Mike Taylor, Unlike Pluto, Lyric Jones, Kelechi, VINCINT, James Reid, TNT, 1Mind, Capper, Victor Ma, Rex Kudo, Cruel Santino to jazz influenced improvisers such as Kiefer, J3P0, Donny McCaslin, Tim Lefev, Mark Guiliana, and Makaya McCraven.
Chase has composed music specifically for Riot Games: League Of Legends & Team Fight Tactics, Tencent: Honor of Kings & The Honor Of Kings International World Championships, Papergame: Love and Deepspace, China’s Singer 2024 International Competition, Jay Shetty On Purpose Podcast, TiMi Studio Group, Hello Kitty, The Teenage Ninja Turtles, Blue Poch, FunPlus State of Survival, Yuan Meng Star, Jujutsu Kaisen and more.
Chase recorded instruments on the score of Sundance Award winning film Didi, and his original music has been licensed on major TV networks including Netflix, BET, ABC, ESPN, The CW, Hulu, NBC, Pluto TV, TNT & MTV.
As an educator, Chase served as a program director at Icon Collective College of Music for over 5 years where he managed over 50 instructors, taught courses and designed curriculum at the college level in Music Theory, Ear Training, Live Performance, Ableton Live, Studio Techniques, Songwriting & Synthesis. He also has years of experience teaching music at The University of Southern California, Grammy Camp LA, The Windward School, Fusion Academy, Cazadero Music & Arts Camp, Bandworks and consistent studio of private students.
Chase currently lives in Los Angeles where he is involved in a multitude of original projects as a multifaceted producer and performer on vibraphone, marimba, guitar, bass, and keyboards including pop, funk electronic crossover group "Wake The Wild. Through all these projects, Chase combines his extensive experience in a wide array of musical traditions while continuing on a path of creative innovation and exploration.
Chase is also an educator and performing artist endorsed by Ludwig-Musser Percussion, Pearl Percussion, BlueHaus Mallets and K&K Amplification.
